London Play at the Barbican’s ‘Our Street, Curve Takeover’
Barbican Centre, Silk Street, London, EC2Y 8DS
Saturday 10 August 11am-3pm
Complementing the exciting Francis Alÿs Ricochets exhibition, an immersive experience celebrating the universality and ingenuity of play, the Barbican is inviting you to hang out in ‘a London neighbourhood with a difference’ as the Curve gallery is transformed into Our Street, an imaginary avenue full of playful games.
London Play will be there on Saturday 10 August, giving kids the opportunity not just to exercise their right to play, but to shout about it too. Alongside spacehopper races, giant beachballs, street games and round-the-world hopscotch, children can join banner-making workshops where they will create signs and slogans to hold aloft in the Parade for Play marking the noisy, joyful finale. Parade at 1.45pm.
Come along, join in the fun and show the world that play really matters!
