While Barnet council does not operate a dedicated play service, the Children, Young People and Family service works through the Children’s Trust Board to, among other things, strengthen links with voluntary sector organisations to ensure that youth and play activities are available. Barnet Family Information Service (FIS) provides information and guidance on a  range  services for children and young people in the London Borough of Barnet. These include play groups, nurseries, childminders, parent and toddler groups, afterschool provision, breakfast clubs, holiday playschemes and information on financial support towards the cost of childcare.
