John Lyons Charity

John Lyon’s Charity gives grants for the benefit of children and young people who live in one of nine boroughs comprising its ‘beneficial area’ in north and west London.

In addition to ongoing annual grant giving of £12m, John Lyons Charity has ring-fenced £22m from its endowment to be spent over the next six years to help protect the children and young people (CYP) sector.

To qualify organisations must be a school or charity working with children and young people and operating in Brent, Barnet, Camden, Ealing, Harrow, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, City of Westminster and City of London.

There are a variety of funding streams available including the School Holiday Activity Fund (for awards of up to £4,000), Small Grants (up to £5,000) and a Main Grants fund which is typically £20,000-£30,000 per annum for three years. Applications for Main Grants are considered and approved three times a year in March, June and November.

Check the funder website for details on how to apply.
