Working for a capital where all children can play

Nearly half of children in London surveyed say they do not play out as much as they like.

We want to change this.

A third say they would play out more if it were safer. This is around 10% higher than the UK average.

We aim for every child in London to have high quality, accessible and inclusive play opportunities. We campaign for more and improved play spaces and services, and support playwork in the capital.

More than mud to Mudpies etc.

From Tottenham to Lewisham - the latest venture under the Mudpies etc. banner has popped up in Deptford, bringing new life to a vacant school and its magical garden.

Play Streets

A revival of interest in play streets, both from politicians and parents, has seen London Play working with an increasing number of residents groups and councils across the city to help get play streets established in their areas

Community groups drive natural play expansion

Several community groups have seen the transformations London Play is leading in parks as part of the Access to Nature project and approached the charity to see if similar magic can be worked in their areas.

London Play Loves Outdoor Play

As one of 17 members in the new Play England Free Time Consortium, London Play is set to mobilise an army of volunteers to enhance opportunities for natural play in two neighbourhoods.
